Canada; 1st Pioneer Battalion Shoulder Title (browning brass, unmarked, 55.2 mm (w) x 21.7 mm (h), both lugs intact); 2nd Depot Battalion Eastern Ontario Regiment Shoulder Title (bronze, maker marked "RODEN BROS 1917" on the reverse, 40 mm (w) x 18 mm (h), intact lugs and pin); 239th Infantry Battalion "Railway Construction Corps" Shoulder Title (pickled brass, unmarked, 44.5 mm (w) x 28 mm (h), both lugs intact); and two Canada Shoulder Titles (one is pickled copper, the other is brass, the former is maker marked "CARON BROS MONTREAL 1916" on the reverse, the latter is maker marked "W. SCULLY MONTREAL" on the reverse, 50.8 mm (w) x 14 mm (h) each, both with intact lugs). Ranging from very fine to near extremely fine.
Footnote: 1. The 1st Pioneer Battalion was organized on December 22, 1915. When the other Pioneer Battalions were absorbed into the Canadian Engineers, the 1st Battalion became part of the Canadian Railway Troops. It was disbanded in March 1917. 2. The 2nd Depot Battalion Eastern Ontario Regiment was headquartered at Military District No. 5 in Kingston, Ontario. 3. The 239th Infantry Battalion was raised in Ontario and Quebec with mobilization headquarters at Valcartier under the authority of G.O. 69, July 15, 1916. The Battalion sailed December 15, 1916 under the command of Major V.L. MacDonald with a strength of 26 officers and 738 other ranks. In France, the Battalion served as the 3rd Battalion, Canadian Railway Troops. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920.
