All four pockets have fold over button down flaps with reinforced button holes, the breast pockets with dual snaps. Sewn in place above the left breast pocket is a Canadian Volunteer Service Medal Ribbon Bar. The front has four reinforced button holes on the left, the six small missing buttons, two on the shoulder straps and four on the pockets, along with the four large buttons at the opening of the tunic have been taken off the tunic and placed in a plastic bag accompanying it. The four large buttons and five of the small buttons are maker marked "Wm. SCULLY LTD. MONTREAL" on their reverses, the remaining small button maker marked "WATERBURY BUTTON CO. / MADE IN USA" on its reverse, each of which bears the crowned RCAF eagle insignia. In addition, the bag also houses four Medical Corps caduceus insignia. The belt is sewn in place to the body of the tunic at the rear, the left end with a large octagonal-shaped brass buckle with dual prongs, the buckle maker marked "RODEN BROS. Ltd." on the reverse, along with a snap closure receiver, the right end with two rows of three reinforced holes each for attachment to the buckle, along with a snap closure stud, ensuring a snug fit at the waist. The inside of the tunic is lined in the same thick cotton on the panels just inside the opening on both sides, the right panel with an embroidered manufacturer's label inscribed "Styled by Hobberlins Ltd. Toronto", the left panel with a faded cloth Hobberlins printed label, the last name "Kerwin" is slightly visible. The tunic measures 45 cm across the shoulders x 72 cm in length, the fabric free of mothing.
