Description
A school autograph book containing fifty signatures of American film icons of the 1950s and 1960s. The exterior constructed of thick and padded cardstock with a faux textured leather exterior liner, the interior of the front and back covers inscribed “This book belongs to Dan Dorfman 175 South 9th Street, Brooklyn, New York - Autograph Book, Nov. 21”, the following pages with the American Pledge of Allegiance, as well as blank pages for parent’s pictures, teacher’s information, and a page indicating that Dan Dorfman attended the New York School of Printing. The following pages are completely filled with signatures of fifty American film stars, some with colour and/or black-and-white photographs, measuring 150 mm (w) x 117 mm (l) x 20 mm (h), with wear to the exterior covers of the album, the binding is soft and loose but all pages are held in place securely, in overall very fine condition.
Footnote: Dan Dorfman (October 24, 1931 - June 16th, 2012) was an American financial journalist for the New York Sun newspaper, Money Magazine, CNN Financial News and a columnist for The Wall Street Journal. He grew up in a Brooklyn orphanage and attended the New York School of Printing, graduating in 1949.
