1.A US Armed Forces Distinguished Flying Cross. Bronze cross pattee, obverse superimposed with a four-bladed propeller, five rays extending from each corner to form a square, reverse engraved MARCUS C YOUNG S/SGT, including miniature pin and ribbon bar, on original ribbon, 38.3 mm, extremely fine condition. Housed in the original case of issue, extremely fine condition.
Footnote: The Distinguished Flying Cross is a military decoration of the United States Armed Forces. The medal was established on July 2, 1926, and is currently awarded to any persons who, after April 6, 1917, distinguish themselves by single acts of heroism or extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight.
2. A US Armed Forces Air Medal. Eight-pointed star superimposed on another eight-pointed star, obverse medallion bearing an eagle with two lighting bolts in its talons, reverse engraved MARCUS C YOUNG S/SGT AIR CORPS 18097758, including miniature pin and ribbon bar, on original ribbon, 54 mm (h) x 42 mm (w), extremely fine condition. Housed in the original case of issue, extremely fine condition.
