United States. A Lot of Period Campaign Medals & Awards

1.A 1915 Haitian Campaign Medal. Bronze medal, the obverse bears an image of Haiti with the inscription HAITIAN CAMPAIGN, the exergue bears the date 1915, the reverse features a spread eagle resting upon an anchor with a draped chain, over the words FOR SERVICE, the upper contour of the medal bears the words UNITED STATES NAVY, 33 mm, numbered 1081 on the edge, on original blue ribbon with two red stripes, very fine condition. 

Footnote: The Haitian Campaign Medal was first established on 22 June 1917, and again on December 6, 1921 for American soldiers participating in the United States occupation of Haiti.

2. A Nicaraguan Campaign Medal. The obverse bears a volcano, rising from a lake, with the words “Nicaraguan Campaign” and the date 1912 on the edges of the medal, the reverse features a spread eagle resting upon an anchor with a draped chain, numbered 1010 on the edge, on a red ribbon with two thick blue stripes, evidence of some spotting, very fine condition. 

Footnote: The Nicaraguan Campaign Medal is a campaign medal of the United States Navy which was authorized by the Presidential Order of Woodrow Wilson on September 22, 1913. 

3.A Yangtze Service Medal. In bronze, the obverse bearing a ship at sea with the inscription YANGTZE SERVICE, the reverse bearing an eagle perched upon an anchor with sprigs of laurel in its claws, flanked by the words FOR SERVICE, inscribed above the eagle is UNITED STATES NAVY, numbered M. No. 10313 on the edge, on the original ribbon, 33 mm, very fine condition. 

Footnote: The Yangtze Service Medal is awarded for service in the Yangtze River Valley between September 3, 1926 and December 31, 1932, a period of significant unrest in the region. The decoration may also be awarded for those military service members who served on permanent duty in Shanghai, China, provided such service was in direct support of landing operations in the Yangtze River Valley. 

4. An Army of Occupation of Germany Medal. Bronze medal, the obverse bears a relief portrait of General John J. Pershing encircled by four stars indicating his insignia of grade as Commanding General of the Field Forces, in the lower left is the inscription GENERAL JOHN J. PERSHING, on the right is a laurel wreath superimposed by a sword with the dates "1918" and "1923", the reverse bears an eagle surrounded by the inscription US ARMY OF OCCUPATION OF GERMANY, 32 mm, on original ribbon, light contact, very fine condition. 

Footnote: This medal was instituted on 21 November 1941 and recognized service in Germany or Austria-Hungary between November 12, 1918 and July 11, 1923. 

5. A Cuban Pacification Navy Medal. The obverse shows the personification of the USA standing before a kneeling farmer with the inscription CUBAN PACIFICATION 1908, the reverse bears an eagle perched upon an anchor with a chain, above the words FOR SERVICE, inscribed above the eagle is UNITED STATES NAVY, numbered 1735 on the edge, on its original ribbon with red stripes, 30 mm, very fine condition. 

Footnote: The Cuban Pacification Navy Medal was instituted on 13 August 1909. The medal was awarded to officers and enlisted men who served ashore in Cuba between 12 September 1906 and 1 April 1909, or who were attached to a specific number of ships, for the Cuban Pacification.
