A lot of two cased Silver Jubilee medals, consisting of:
1. A Cased Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Medal (Médaille du jubilé d’argent de la reine Elizabeth II). Instituted February 6th, 1977. A circular silver medal, the obverse with an effigy of Queen Elizabeth facing right, wearing the high Imperial State crown, circumscribed by her name and title in Latin capitalized lettering, the reverse bearing a large stylized maple leaf with “Canada” around the top rim and “1952 EIIR 1977” in small lettering around the bottom rim, on a fixed toe and horizontally-pierced ball and swivel ring for suspension from its full length period original ribbon (with the horizontal pinback assembly present but broken off), measuring 31.9 mm in diameter. Accompanied by its presentation case, constructed of cardstock with a bright red lightly textured faux leather (leatherette) exterior, the exterior of the lid embossed with the Imperial State Crown as well as “EIIR” and “1952-1977” in silver, with the paper hinge intact and fully functional, measuring 62 mm (w) x 94 mm (l), in near extremely fine condition.
2. A Cased King George V Silver Jubilee Medal (Instituted May 6th, 1935). A circular silver medal, the obverse featuring the conjoined leftward-facing effigies of King George V and Queen Mary, circumscribed by their name and title, the reverse displaying the Royal Cypher “GVR” surmounted by an Imperial Crown and the dates “May 6, 1910” and “May 6, 1935”, on a fixed toe and horizontally-pierced ball and swivel ring for suspension from its full length period original ribbon featuring a horizontal pinback assembly, measuring 31.8 mm in diameter. Accompanied by its presentation case, constructed of cardstock with a bright red lightly textured faux leather (leatherette) exterior, the exterior of the lid embossed with the Royal Crown as well as the dates “1910” and “1935”, measuring 86 mm (w) x 42 mm (l), in better than very fine condition.
3. A “Unofficial” 1937 Edward VIII Coronation Medal by Rowntree: An unofficial 1937 Edward VIII Coronation Medal. Constructed of circular base metal, the obverse depicting a rightward-facing bust of Edward VIII wearing a Royal Crown and coronation robes, circumscribed by his name and title, the reverse bearing a small Royal crown flanked on either sides by the letters “ER” and with central text reading “To Commemorate the Coronation of H. M. King Edward VIII 1937”, circumscribed “Struck by the makers of Rowntree’s Cocoa Jellies & Gums”, on a fixed and swivel loop for suspension, measuring 32.3 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
4. Canadian Centennial Medal (1867-1967): A Canadian Centennial Medal (Médaille du centenaire du Canada). Instituted June 27th, 1966. Consisting of a circular silver medal, the obverse with the Royal Cipher (EIIR) and Crown superimposed on a large single maple leaf, circumscribed “Confederation Canada Confédération”, in capitalized lettering, the reverse featuring the Coat of Arms of Canada and the dates “1867-1967”, on a single toe medal bar for suspension from its period original full-length ribbon, measuring 36.4 mm in diameter. Accompanied by its presentation case, constructed of a magnetic metal core with a brown and lightly textured faux leather (leatherette) exterior, the exterior embossed with the Coat of Arms of Canada, the interior of the lid is padded with off-white satin, with a fully intact and functional exterior metal hinge, measuring 110 mm (w) x 60 mm (l), in extremely fine condition.
