Description

A lot of two Royal Australian Air Force insignia, consisting of:

1. A RAAF Wing, constructed of dark blue wool and multi-coloured machine embroidery, padded, the obverse depicts a pair of open wings with a central laurel wreath inscribed “RAAF” and topped by a Royal Crown, cloth backer with black stitching evident from previous wearing on a uniform, measuring 111 mm (w) x 31 mm (l), in better than very fine condition.

2. A RAAF Air Gunner (AG) Wing, constructed of dark blue wool and multi-coloured machine embroidery, the obverse depicts a right wing connected to a partial laurel wreath inscribed “AG” and “RAAF” in capitalized lettering, the reverse plain, measuring 102 mm (w) x 47 mm (l), in near extremely fine condition.
