Tozer, O.St.J., copyrighted by the author and the Orders and Medals Research Society in 1975, published by J.B. Hayward & Son (Simprints), Medal Specialists, 17 Piccadilly Arcade, London, SW1Y 6NL, in association with the Orders and Medals Research Society and approved by the Order of St. John in 1975. It begins with a brief history of and an explanation for the purpose of the Orders and Medals Research Society and a list of other books published by them, followed by a Foreword by the President Henry Pownall of the Orders and Medals Research Society, an Introduction by C.W. Tozer and a Table of Contents.The book is divided into three Parts: I - Order of St. John (The Sovereign Head; The Grand Prior; The Lord Prior; The Prelate; Bailiff Grand Cross; Dame Grand Cross; Knight of Justice; Dame of Justice; Knight of Grace; Dame of Grace; Sub-Prelate and Chaplain; Commander; Officer; Serving Brother/Sister; Esquire; Honorary Associate; Associate Member; Donat; The Life Saving Medal; The Service Medal; The South African War Medal; The Robes; General Notes Part I; General Notes Part III); II - Medals Awarded by the Crown exclusively to St. John Personnel (Queen Victoria's Jubilee Medal 1897; King Edward VII Coronation Medal 1902; King George V Coronation Medal 1911; Royal Naval Auxiliary Sick Berth Reserve Long Service and Good Conduct Medal);III - Medals Awarded by the Former Railway Companies and by British Railways for First Aid Efficiency and Long Service (British Railways; Great Western Railway; Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway; London, Chatham and Dover Railway; London Midland and Scottish Railway; London & North Eastern Railway; London & North Western Railway; London & South Western Railway; London Transport Executive; Metropolitan Railway; Midland Railway; North Eastern Railway; South Eastern & Chatham Railway; Southern Railway).
