It begins with a brief history of and an explanation for the purpose of the Orders and Medals Research Society and a list of other books published by them, followed by a Foreword by the President Henry Pownall of the Orders and Medals Research Society, an Introduction by C.W. The book contains 80 pages of text,interspersed with multiple black and white photographs, incorporating four colour plates on pages 2, 7, 10 and 11, the text and majority of the photographs printed in black ink, the four colour plates printed in four colour inks, on all a semi-coated white paper stock, measuring 190 mm (w) x 240 mm (h) x 10 mm (d), exhibiting a small nip on the inside front cover endpaper, however, the pages within remain pristine and very clean.
