Germany, Third Reich. A Lot of Insignia

(Insignien). A Lot of insignia, including:

1. A Reichspost Female Employee’s sleeve insignia, constructed of dark blue wool, the obverse bearing a machine-embroidered golden-yellow German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, situated above an inscription of “REICHSPOST”, unmarked, measuring 85 mm (w) x 100 mm (h), demonstrating minor material fatigue, in near extremely fine condition.

2. A shoulder board core, constructed of rigid card stock and embroidered with a magnetic metal wire frame, unmarked, measuring 35 mm (w) x 102 mm (l), an interesting example of an unused component for an Officer-grade shoulder board in extremely fine condition.

3. A Kuban Shield, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a stylized map of the Kuban region, topped by an inscription of “KUBAN” and a Wehrmacht eagle, in turn flanked by a date of “1943”, unmarked, measuring 52 mm (w) x 62 mm (h), the swastika has been etched out to permit post-war wear and display, while the reverse is missing its attachment prongs and hardware, in fair condition.
