A third reich period German ribbon bar, consisting of
1) An Iron Cross 1939 Second Class; white metal cross pattée of multi-piece construction with a blackened brass core (non-magnetic) within a white metal ribbed border; on loop for suspension; the obverse with a raised central mobile swastika with the re-institution date “1939” in raised numbering on the lower arm; the reverse with the original institution date “1813” in raised numbering on the lower arm; measuring 43.90 mm x 43.83 mm;
2) A Luftwaffe Long Service Medal; circular silvered metal (magnetic); on loop for suspension; the obverse with the German Luftwaffe eagle in the centre, circumscribed in German Gothic lettering “Treue Dienste in der Wehrmacht” (Faithful Service in the Armed Forces); the reverse with the raised number “4” centrally within an oak wreath border; measuring 30.12 mm in diameter;
3) A Commemorative Sudetenland Medal; a circular bronze medal; on loop for suspension; the obverse with two raised male figures, the one on the right bearing the German flag in his left hand, with his right hand placed around the shoulders of the figure on the left, with broken chains around his right arm (symbolic of the liberation of the Sudeten German from Czechoslovak oppression), with the German eagle directly below; the reverse with the date “1. Oktober 1938” centrally and circumscribed “Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Führer” (One People, One Country, One Leader); measuring 32.02 mm in diameter; zink core (non-magnetic); red wool backer; horizontal pinback; parade mounted ribbons with a Luftwaffe Long Service eagle and a Prague medal bar; measuring 98 mm x 57 mm. Accompanied by its matching medal ribbon bar; metal core (magnetic); horizontal pinback; measuring 46 mm x 18 mm; near extremely fine condition.
