Skennerton: hardcover, yellow cloth exterior, copyright 1975, published in 1976 at Margate and printed by Watson Ferguson & Company of Brisbane, ISBN 0 9597438 0 4, inscribed "Of a limited edition of two thousand copies this is number" and numbered in handwritten black ink "882" on the fly page, with six chapters entitled: 1. Australians in Service; 2. Their Longarms - Pre Federation; 3. Their Longarms - Post Federation; 4. Plates and Technical Data; 5. Small Arms Factory, Lithgow; 6. Issue, Manufacture & Other Markings. As described on the dust jacket: "From the flintlock smoothbore to automatic smallbore, this work details Australian military arms and their usage from the dawn of our colonial history to the present day. Special attention is paid to Australian manufactured arms, and a considerable portion of the book is devoted to the history and production of the Small Arms Factory at Lithgow, New South Wales."
