Description
The first letter was sent by pastor Martin Heller to the Bavarian royal government. The exact recipient is illegible, as is part of the date. It is dated to Alsleben (present day part of Trappstadt, northern Bavaria) on May 15, 18XX. Heller asks to become pastor of Königshofen (present day Bad Königshofen im Grabfeld) and provides his work experience and former positions as references.
The second letter is dated to Würzburg on August 2, 1833. In the name of the King of Bavaria it is decreed that Martin Heller is to take over from pastor Johann Brugger to become pastor of Königshofen. The signature is illegible.
Documents measuring 212 mm (w) x 340 mm (h), each presenting folding crease, scuffing of the edges, and one with medium rip and cutout around wax stamp, remaining better than very fine and better than fine, respectively.
