In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

It is unofficial and was awarded in three classes: I Class Gold Grade, II Class Silver Grade and III Class Bronze Grade.
2. The Order of Combatant Merit was created on September 14, 1953, to recognize the leaders of organizations whose aim was to support former combatants and victims of war. To be appointed Knight, recipients were required to be at least 40 years of age and to have given at least fifteen years’ service. Awards of the knight class were limited to two hundred and fifty per annum. The Order has not been awarded since 1963 when it was replaced by the National Order of Merit (Ordre National du Mérite).
