Description

Constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of a central Vlaamsch Nationaal Verbond (Flemish National Union/VNV) insignia, overlaying a sword, and situated within a circular oak leaf wreath joined together at the bottom by a banner bearing a raised inscription of “EER EN TROUW” (“HONOUR AND LOYALTY”), the reverse retaining two lugs, unmarked, measuring 35.34 mm (w) x 55.38 mm (h), weighing 9.2 grams, a rare award in extremely fine condition.
