1. National Order of Military Merit, V Class Knight, Type I (1900-1937) (Национален орден за военна заслуга). Instituted in 1900. Five-piece construction, in silvered bronze with red and white enamels, measuring 38.7 mm (w) x 40 mm (h) inclusive of its integral loop suspension, extensive chipping evident in the white enamels on both centrepiece rings, the centrepiece inverted on the obverse and slightly askew on the reverse, original triangular bravery ribbon with hook and eye.
2. National Order for Civil Merit, V Class Knight, Type II (1909-1937) (ОРДЕНЪ ЗА ГРАЖДАНСКА ЗАСЛУГА ДАМСКИ КРЪСЪ III C T.). Instituted in 1891. Multi-piece construction, in silver with red, white and green enamels, measuring 46.7 mm (w) x 50 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally-pierced ball suspension, enamel damage evident on the arm at 6 o'clock on both sides, original triangular ribbon but missing its hook and eye.

Footnotes: 1. National Order for Military Merit was instituted on May 18, 1900 by Prince Ferdinand I and was awarded to military officers for bravery or meritorious service. It was originally issued in six grades,
the Grand Cross being added in 1933. The War Decoration was authorized in 1916, and the use of a Bravery Ribbon in 1912.
2. The National Order for Civil Merit was instituted on August 2, 1891 and awarded in six grades.
