(ព្រះបាទសុវត្ថារា / preahbat so vottha rea). Instituted in 1995. I Class Grand Cross Badge: three-piece construction, in silvered and gilt bronze with red and green lacquers, unmarked, measuring 60 mm (w) x 95.2 mm (h) inclusive of its incorrect crown suspension (as it should be the Goddess of the Earth), having experienced undulation and slight damage, without sash; I Class Breast Star: in silvered and gilt bronze with red and green lacquers, unmarked, measuring 77 mm (w) x 76.5 mm (h), horizontal pinback, a few of the rays having been bent back; and IV Class Officer: three-piece construction, in bronze gilt with red and green lacquers, unmarked, measuring 40.7 mm (w) x 65.5 mm (h) inclusive of its Goddess of the Earth suspension, large rosette affixed to its original ribbon. Intact lacquers, ranging from very fine to near extremely fine.
Footnote: The Royal Order of Sowathara was instituted in October 5, 1995, based on the original Order issued while a French Protectorate that was instituted on June 22, 1923 and was continued by the independent Kingdom of 1948-1970. In all periods, it was and continues to be awarded for services to agriculture, and was expanded in 1993 to include the economy and public works, in five grades: Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight.
