1) A Musketry Regulations For The Canadian Militia 1902 Book, printed by the Government Printing Bureau in Ottawa, hardcover with a red exterior, 52 pages printed in black ink, signed by James Adams, includes illustrations of a rifle, bayonet and scabbard, and a carbine, measuring 12.3 cm (l) x 9.1 cm (w) x 0.7 cm (h), very fine.
2) An 1889 Infantry Drill Book, published in London, printed for her Majesty’s Stationery Office, hardcover with a red exterior, 508 pages, includes a functional side clasp, measuring 12 cm (l) x 9 cm (w) x 2.5 cm (h), book spine intact, signs of wear and age along the corners of the front and back cover, headcap, and tail, very fine.
3) An 1870 Rifle Exercises & Musketry Instruction Pocket Edition Book, printed in London by George E. Eyre and William Spottiswoode, printers to the Queen’s most Excellent Majesty, measuring 12 cm (l) x 8.8 cm (w) x 2 cm (h), signs of wear and age along the spine, front cover detached from the spine, fine.
4) A History of the Great indian War of 1675 and 1676 Book, written by Benjamin Church, printed in Cooperstown 1846, published by H&E Phinney, includes frontispiece of Colonel Benjamin Church, signed by Mr. James Braug c. 1854, later gifted to Jane Boy in 1858, measuring 18 cm (l) x 11 cm (w) x 3 cm (h), signs of wear and age on the front and back cover, spine intact, front cover is coming apart from spine, very fine.
Footnote: Benjamin Church was an American military officer and politician who is best known for his role in developing military tactics and participating in numerous conflicts which involved the New England Colonies. He is also known for commanding one of the first ranger units in North America.
