1.An Order of the Dannebrog Miniature Medal, 27.8 mm (h) x 13.2 mm (w), evidence of wear on obverse and reverse cross, very fine condition.
Footnote: Footnote: The Order of the Dannebrog was instituted in 1671 by Christian V. Until 1808, membership in the Order was limited to fifty members of noble or royal rank, who formed a single class known as White Knights to distinguish them from the Blue Knights who were members of the Order of the Elephant. In 1808, the Order was reformed and divided into four classes.
2.Commemorative Medal for the War of 1864, in bronze, obverse shows profile of King Christian IX facing right, reverse the date 1864, 30.5 mm, evidence of wear on the ribbon, very fine condition.
Footnote: The medal was instituted on 26 June 1875 by King Christian IX at the suggestion of the veterans of the war. Some 58,000 examples were struck in Paris and distributed in 1877 to all participants then still living.
