Germany, HJ. A Lower Leader’s Brocade and Buckle, by Camill Bergmann & Co.

(HJ Paradefeldbinde für Leiter). An HJ Lower Leader’s brocade and buckle, the former constructed of olive-drab cotton with a core reinforcement, the obverse topped by a silver aluminum wire tresse bearing dual central black machine-embroidered bands, featuring two sliding loops of identical construction, one end retaining an aluminum clip, the opposite end featuring a hidden brown leather tongue perforated with 14 sets of dual eyelets for an adjustable fit, unmarked, measuring 4.5 cm (w) x 120 cm (l), demonstrating minor material fatigue and some period repairs to the wire features, in better than very fine condition; the latter constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse bearing a central raised German national eagle clutching an HJ insignia, situated within a ribbed ring bearing an inscriptions of “BLUT UND EHRE” (“BLOOD AND HONOUR”),  the reverse with a clip and loop, marke with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and maker code “M4/116” for Camill Bergmann & Co., Gablonz, measuring 50 mm in diameter, demonstrating moderate loss of finish and some oxidation throughout, in very fine condition.
