Germany, Imperial. A Mixed Lot of Long Service Decorations

(Dienstauszeichnungen). A mixed lot of four long service decorations, including:

1. A Railroad 25-Year Long Service Award, constructed of silver, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Prussian State Railway insignia, and surrounding a plaque bearing a raised number “25”, the reverse with a barrel hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked “JOH. WAGNER & SOHN, BERLIN”, with a silver content number of “800”, measuring 53.08 mm (w) x 43.13 mm (h), weighing 10.4 grams, in extremely fine condition.

2. A Prussian 12-Year Long Service Award, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension, the obverse bearing a central raised crown, circumscribed by an inscription of “TREUE DIENSTE BEI DER FAHNE” (“FAITHFUL SERVICE TO THE FLAG”), the reverse bearing a raised number “12” in Roman numerals, unmarked, measuring 30.06 mm in diameter, weighing 14.8 grams, in extremely fine condition.

3. A second Prussian 12-Year Long Service Award, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension, the obverse bearing a central raised crown, circumscribed by an inscription of “TREUE DIENSTE BEI DER FAHNE” (“FAITHFUL SERVICE TO THE FLAG”), the reverse bearing a raised number “12” in Roman numerals, unmarked, measuring 30.01 mm in diameter, weighing 14.9 grams, in extremely fine condition.

4. A Prussian 15-Year Long Service Award, constructed of a gilded coppe alloy, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with ribbed arms, the obverse bearing a central raised crown, the reverse bearing a central raised number “15” in Roman numerals, unmarked, measuring 35.71 mm (w) x 39.23 mm (h), weighing 15.6 grams, in extremely fine condition.
