(Kriegsmarine Fotoalbum). A fascinating pair of private pre-war photo albums belonging to a crewman who served with the Type 24 torpedo boat Jaguar, including:
1. One constructed of a card stock binding with a canvas exterior liner, the spine perforated with four holes reinforced with magnetic metal grommets through which is looped a drawstring that maintains the album’s structural integrity, the interior content featuring 24 black card stock pages with wax paper dividers to protect the images, the latter consisting 65 black-and-white images shot by the owner, showing Kriegsmarine personnel in uniform and in deep sea diving equipment, with vessels at sea during the visit of the Jaguar and its sister ships Iltis, Wolf, and Tiger to Stockholm, Sweden in 1934, supplemented by 16 reproduced tourist photos and 6 postcards depicting images of Stockholm, accompanied by a telegram to the Jaguar and 6 newspaper excerpts from the occasion of the visit, unmarked, measuring 27 cm (w) x 19 cm (h), a personalized account of early Kriegsmarine life in extremely fine condition.
2.
