Germany, Luftwaffe. A Transport and Glider Clasp, Bronze Grade, by C.E. Juncker

(Frontflugspange für Transport-und Luftlandeflieger in Bronze). Constructed of bronzed zink, the obverse consisting of a central circular laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika in mid-flight,  flanked on each side by nine oak leaves, the reverse with a single visible rivet securing the eagle in place, with a barrel hinge and tapering horizontal pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of manufacture by C.E. Juncker, Berlin, measuring 76.48 mm (w) x 25.40 mm (h), weighing 19.6 grams, demonstrating near-total loss of finish to the base metal with minor surface oxidation, in very fine condition.
