In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
A card, thanking for congratulations to his recent birthday, signed by Eugen Hadamovsky. It measures 176x114mm, near mint condition with two punched holes. The card is dated to December 24, ten days after Hadamovsky’s birthday. The letters in front of the date might be Fr for Friday, which would point to 1937 or 1943. The word above the date might be Abey, perhaps the location. It is signed “Ihr ergebener Hadamovsky”, yours (in) loyal (service), indicating that the recipient was probably of higher status than Hadamovsky himself.
Footnote: Eugen Hadamovsky (1904–1945) was a director of Nazi propaganda radio productions. Among other posts, he served as the vice-president of the broadcasting department of the Reich Culture Chamber and, since 1940, as head of the radio department in the Reich Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda. As such, he worked closely with Goebbels, however, Goebbels’s diary entries reveal that he was not always pleased with Hadamovsky. Hadamovsky also wrote several books, the most significant of which being “Propaganda and National Power” from 1933. In 1943, Hadamovsky joined the Wehrmacht as a volunteer. He later switched to the 4th SS Police Panzer Grenadier Division and reached the rank of SS-Obersturmführer. He died in combat on the Eastern Front, two months before the end of the war.
