(Ordnungspolizei Dienstpässe). A pair of Dienstpässe (Service Passes) to decorated Ordnungspolizei Officers, including:
1. One constructed of a card stock binding with 32 paginated interior pages, featuring stamped and handwritten entries named to Schutzpolizei Hauptwachtmeister Josef Mader, who entered service with the pre-Anschluss Bundespolizei Graz as a provisional Wachmann, remaining in service following Austria’s absorption into Germany and seeing postings to the Sudetenland and Krakow through the first half of the Second World War, earning a number of awards including the Sudetenland Medal (1 October 1938), the War Merit Cross II Class (undated), the Police Long Service Award III Class for 8 Years (undated), the German Social Welfare Decoration (undated), and the War Merit Cross II Class with Swords (1 September 1944), measuring 10.5 cm (w) x 15 cm (h), accompanied by Mader’s matching Dienstausweis (Identity Pass), constructed of green oilcloth, featuring handwritten entries for service from 1939 until 1943, retaining a certified studio portrait of Mader, measuring 7.5 cm (w) x 10.5 cm (h), both demonstrating minor material fatigue, a matching set to a distinguished Officer in extremely fine condition.
2. One constructed of a card stock binding with 32 paginated interior pages, featuring stamped and handwritten entries named to Johann Pfeiffer, a veteran of the First World War who served with Schützen-Regiment 3 (Austro-Hungarian Army) from 15 October 1915 to 17 November 1919, and who entered service Bundespolizei Graz on 31 May 1920 as a provisional Wachmann, remaining in service following Austria’s absorption into Germany, attaining the rank of Hauptwachtmeister on 1 October, earning a number of awards, including the Austrian Silver Bravery Medal II Class, the Karl Troop Cross, the Bronze Grade Bravery Medal, the Police Long Service Award I Class for 25 Years, and the Honour Cross of the World War 1918 for Combatants, measuring 10.5 cm (w) x 15 cm (h), demonstrating minor material fatigue throughout, in near extremely fine condition.
3. A Polizei postcard, constructed of paper stock with multi-coloured ink, the reverse featuring a handwritten inscription and Feldpost marks, posted 17 February 1942, measuring 10 cm (w) x 14.5 cm (h), demonstrating fatigue and tearing, a wartime field-posted example in very fine condition.
