(HIAG Suchdienst Papier). A HIAG (Mutual Aid Association of Former Waffen-SS Members) Tracing Service file for SS-Unterscharführer Hans Pahl, who was born on 22 October 1914 in Katymár (Katschmar, Austria-Hungary) and who served with the 8th SS Cavalry Division Florian Geyer. His last known whereabouts were in Budapest on 16 December 1944, during the Red Army’s siege of that city. The request for information was filed by his brother, Josef Pahl. The file retains a black-and-white studio portrait of Pahl wearing a Waffen-SS Enlisted ranks uniform. Measuring 21 cm (w) x 14.5 cm (h), it remains in an extremely fine condition.
