In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
(Waffen-SS Tropenuniform). Consisting of a tunic and trousers constructed of tan-coloured cotton twill. The tunic has a collar that transitions into a shoulder yoke that covers the majority of the shoulder and upper chest area with a stylized pleat, held in place by two brown-painted aluminum buttons on the right breast flap, and by two pieces of machine stitching at the rear. The shoulders bear straps for the placement of rank insignia. The upper arm bears a SS-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, constructed of gold-coloured machine embroidery on a black rayon background, measuring 86 mm (w) x 48 mm (h). The cuff of each sleeve is adjustable and opens with a single reinforced buttonhole meeting a brown bakelite button. The breast flaps bear four pockets, with two on each side, opening with stylized flaps bearing a single reinforced buttonhole meeting a brown-painted aluminum button. Each armpit bears four reinforced ventilation holes arranged in a square formation. The tunic is closed by four brown-painted aluminum buttons on the right breast flap meeting an equal number of reinforced buttonholes on the left flap. All buttons on the tunic are stamped on the reverse with “19 JFS 41” for maker Josef Feix & Söhne, Gablonz. The interior of the tunic presents plain with two small pockets at the bottom of each flap, opening with a reinforced buttonhole meeting a brown bakelite button. Two sets of dual cotton ribbons are stitched into place at each side of the belt area. The interior of the breast flap is stamped with “2072, 43, 90, 43, 68, 68". The interior collar also bears a cotton loop for hanging the tunic from a hook when not in use. The tunic measures approximately 464 mm aross the shoulder, with an arm length of 610 mm and an overall body length of 648 mm. Minor patches of material fatigue are evident, but the tunic is in an otherwise extremely fine condition.
Accompanied by its period original trousers, featuring five pebbled, tan-coloured belt hooks emanating from the material and extending downward. Immediately underneath the rear belt area are two adjustable straps, featuring a green bakelite button meeting a reinforced buttonhole. Two side pockets are located at the front of the trousers, opening with a vertical slit bearing a reinforced buttonhole meeting a green bakelite button. There are a further two pockets at the rear, opening with a horizontal slit bearing a reinforced buttonhole meeting a green bakelite button. The trousers are opened with a frontal vertical slit bearing five green and brown bakelite buttons on the right flap meeting an equal number of reinforced buttonholes on the left. The ankle area of both legs features a set of laces and a white cotton strap. The interior of the trousers features a partial white cotton liner stamped at the belt area with “86, 84, 116, 100”, along with four brown bakelite buttons. Two loop for accommodating a pair of suspenders are also stitched into the waistband and extend downwards into the interior. The trousers measure approximately 410 mm across the waist, with an overall length of 1094 mm. Minor patches of material fatigue are evident, and some buttons appear to have been replaced, but the trousers are in an otherwise extremely fine condition.
