This is an extremely well-preserved and updated edition of “Cloth Insignia of the SS”, the seminal SS insignia reference guide by John Angolia with Stan Cook. It is constructed of a heavy card stock binding, with the exterior cover bearing a depiction of SS collar tab oak leaves topped by author and title. The interior content consists of 496 glossed white paper pages with extensive information on the uniform insignia of both the Allgemeine and Waffen-SS, including collar tabs, shoulder boards, sleeve insignia, cuff titles, and various eagle badges, supplemented by an extensive array of black-and-white photographs and illustrations of the insignia. This edition is a 1989 reprinting of Angolia’s firm volume, published by R. James Bender Publishing of San Jose, California. The book measures 160 mm (w) x 235 mm (h). With the exception of some minor material fatigue to the exterior corners, this essential volume is in an extremely fine condition.
