(Dienstauszeichnung der Polizei, I. Klasse für 25 Jahre). Instituted 30 January 1938. (1938-1944 issue). Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central raised Ordnungspolizei insignia in the form of an oval oak leaf wreath overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central oval medallion overlaid by a raised inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE IN DER POLIZEI” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE POLICE”), unmarked, measuring 43.30 mm (w) x 47.95 mm (h), weighing 22.8 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of a light wooden frame with a faux green leather exterior liner, the lid bearing a gilt number “25” situated within an oak leaf wreath, the interior with a white rayon lid liner and grey velvet medal bed, closing with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release, unmarked, measuring 50 mm (w) x 104 mm (l) x 20 mm (h), demonstrating minor material fatigue to the case, a matching set in overall extremely fine condition.
