In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
(Ordensschnalle). A medal bar for a Spanish Civil War and Blue Division combatant featuring five awards, including:
1. An Order of Military Merit, I Class Cross with Crown, constructed of gilded bronze with multi-coloured enamels, consisting of a Geneva Cross, the obverse with red enameled arms, bearing a central multi-coloured enameled medallion overlaid by the coats of arms of Castile, León, Aragon, and Navarre, topped by a crown culminating in a suspension loop with a period original ribbon, clasp, and horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 39.03 mm (w) x 51.16 mm (h), demonstrating oxidation to the base metal, flecking to the enamels, and the loss of the reverse medallion, in very fine condition.
2. A Medal for the Campaign of 1936-1939, constructed of gilded and blackened bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 37.07 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
3. A War Merit Cross II Class, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms and with crossed swords piercing the centrepiece, the obverse bearing a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central wreathed date of “1939”, unmarked, measuring 48.55 mm (w) x 49.73 mm (h), in better than very fine condition.
4. A Medal of the Mutilated, constructed of gilded bronze with multi-coloured enamels, on loop for suspension from its original wartime version ribbon, unmarked, measuring 32.40 mm (w) x 42.50 mm (h), demonstrating minor flecking to the enamels, in near extremely fine condition.
5. A Spanish Volunteer Medal, constructed of gilded zink, on loop for suspension from a postwar replacement ribbon, the obverse bearing a central raised sword overlaid by shields bearing raised Heer and Falange insignia, topped by a Stahlhelm, and situated above a swastika flanked by clutches of laurel leaves, the reverse bearing an inscription of “DIVISIÓN ESPAÑOLA DE VOLUNTARIOS EN RUSIA” (“DIVISION OF SPANISH VOLUNTEERS IN RUSSIA”), above an Iron Cross topped by laurel branches, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of manufacture by Deschler & Sohn, Munich, measuring 32.43 mm in diameter, demonstrating near-total loss of finish, in very fine condition.
All suspended from a 130 mm-long Spanish-style bronze bar with horizontal pinback, demonstrating minor to moderate soiling and material fatigue to the ribbons, contained within a period card stock case provided by the recipient, in overall near extremely fine condition.
