An eight point silver star with clusters of seven smooth rays, the obverse centerpiece presents a left facing profile of Simon Bolivar in silver gilt, surrounded by concentric rings of enamel in green, red, white, blue and yellow, the reverse presents dual stays with a central horizontal bar, the cartouche is maker marked HUGUENIN LE LOCLE with a .925 silver mark and a NIEL HF mark (denoting the maker and the art nouveau design), measures 87.34mm (w) x 86.33mm (h), weighs 76.7 grams, enamel rings intact, light tarnishing between rays, 12 and 2 o’clock rays slightly bent, overall very fine condition
Footnote: The Bolivarian Games are a regional multi-sport even held in honor of Simon Bolivar which began in 1938. The event is attended by athletes from Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Peru and Venezuela, and Chile as of 2010. This order was instituted on August 7 1950, and is conferred upon the organizers of the games. The five colours, yellow, blue, white, red and green represented the national pavilions that attend the games.
