(Ordine della Corona d’Italia). Instituted February 20th, 1868. (c. 1900 issue). Constructed of 18kt Gold, with blue, green, red, and white enamels, suspended from a fixed loop and swivel ring suspension from its period original and full length neck ribbon, consisting of a white-enameled hollow construction Gold cross with Gold knots in the quadrants between the arms of the cross, the obverse with a blue enameled centerpiece bearing a royal crown constructed of white, green, and red enamels, surrounded by a Gold ring, the reverse features a gilt central medallion bearing a black enameled eagle with a red and white enameled shield on its chest, surrounded by a matching gilt ring, marked “Valobra” for the Jewelry-Atelier in Turin (Italy), measuring 49.6 mm (w) x 53.1 mm (l), in better than extremely fine condition.
Accompanied by a presentation case, constructed of a lightweight wooden core with a textured red faux leather exterior, the exterior of the lid embossed with the crowned monogram of Victor Emannual, with a dual exterior hinge system (one broken) with a partially intact interior fabric hinge cover, the interior of the lid is lined with padded silk, with a removable red felted and recessed medal bed, measuring 124 mm (w) x 157 mm (l), in extremely fine condition.
