A lot of two Japanese Imperial awards, consisting of:
1. An Order of the Rising Sun, V. Class Breast Badge. Instituted October 4th, 1875. Constructed of silver with white enamels in the shape of an eight-pointed star with cleft endings, with clusters of three intermediate rays, the obverse centre exhibiting a beautiful glass cabochon in red colour, the reverse presenting a double-sided design, suspended by a green and violet enamel imperial symbol of the Paulownia flowers, with Japanese lettering on the reverse standing for “Order of Merit Decoration'', with its period original ribbon but from a replacement swivel ring, measuring 46.5 mm (w) x 48.4 mm (l), weighing 30.66 grams, with moderate flaking and chipping to the enamels of the star and the suspension, in better than fine condition.
2. An Order of the Auspicious Clouds, VIII. Class Breast Badge, Instituted March 1st, 1934. Constructed of silver, suspended from a period original ribbon, measuring 45.6 mm (w) x 51.3 mm (l), weighing 31.11 grams, in extremely fine condition.
