CENTENARIO DA DESCOBERTA DA INDIA IN HOC SIGNO VINCES 1498-1898 500 REIS”. The obverse is marked ”V. ALVES” under the bust. The edge of the coin is reeded. Measuring 30.56mm in diameter and weighing 12.4 grams.
