(Khrueang Ratcha-itsariyaphon An Mi Kiattiyot Ying Mongkut Thai). Instituted December 29th, 1869. Constructed of silver, featuring an eight-pointed star with an outer faceted ring, the obverse with a central blue enameled medallion bearing the Thai crown that is surrounded by a ring of red enamels, the reverse with a central circular medallion bearing a Thai character surrounded by a red ring of enamels, suspended from a gilded Thai crown suspension from a period original lady’s breast ribbon, hallmarked with Thai characters on the reverse of the crown suspension, measuring 42.2 mm (w) x 47.3 mm (l) not including its crown suspension, weighing 21.95 grams.
Accompanied by its presentation case, constructed of a lightweight wooden core with a dark blue felted exterior, the exterior of the lid decorated with a gilded Garuda (Emblem of Thailand), the interior of the lid with white padded silk embossed with the name and class of the order in gilt, with a functional exterior metal hinge, intact interior fabric hinge cover, and functional exterior metal push-button closure, with a recessed felted medal bed for plush seating of the award, measuring 140 mm (w) x 140 mm (l).
The award with subtle patina from age and wear, with all of its enamels intact. The presentation case is well preserved, without obvious signs of wear, in extremely fine condition.
