In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Hardcover, teal blue cloth cover, with dust jacket incorporating a clear plastic protective cover, entitled "American Gunsmiths" by Frank M. Sellers, copyrighted by the author in 1983, manufactured in the United States of America, published by The Gun Room Press of Highland Park, New Jersey, ISBN 0-88227-018-4. The dust jacket illustrates a spread-winged eagle holding a sign in its talons with the message "Over 19,000 names of American gunmakers, patentees, gunsmiths and entrepreneurs, First Edition". It has a personalized inscription and is autographed in black ink by the author on page i: "To my friend John Chalapis whom I hope will enjoy it even though there are very few Queen Anne makers included, Frank Sellers". It begins with a Foreword on page iii, which explains that the material in the book comes from multiple sources, including: previous published books, historical records, city directories, Patent Office records, dealers catalogs, collector's club bulletins, museum and government publications, among others sources. The personal examination of guns in many major collections and material on view at hundreds of gun shows was also involved in the composition of the book. The Foreword also includes instructions as to how to use the book. The following 343 pages is an alphabetical listing from A to Z, each point noting the name of the manufacturer, its location, the dates of operation, the type of firearm manufactured, patent dates and numbers, along with any other pertinent information. It concludes with a five page Bibliography. The book contains 360 pages of text, printed in black ink, on a white paper stock, measuring 220 mm (w) x 285 mm (h) x 25 mm (d). It exhibits scattered foxing on the top of the pages, otherwise, the pages remain pristine. Near extremely fine.
