Hardcover, maroon cloth cover, the front cover along with the spine bearing images and text embossed in gold-coloured ink, the front cover featuring an embossed illustration of the Legion of Merit Chief Commander Star, entitled "Orders and Decorations of All Nations, Ancient and Modern, Civil and Military, Second Edition" by Robert Werlich, copyrighted in 1974, published by Quaker Press of Washington, D.C., printed by William T. Cooke Publishing Inc. of Devon, Pennsylvania, with the company's embossed stamp placed on the back cover. The lead page states that "This book is dedicated to the memory of King Peter II of Yugoslavia (1934-1970) in acknowledgement of his kindness in conferring upon the author in 1970 the Order of Saint Sava, Third Class, for services to the throne.", with a photo of the King wearing his air force tunic below with the tagline "King Peter II of Yugoslavia, making a wartime B.B.C. broadcast, London, 1944.", followed by three brief sections: Acknowledgements, Introduction and Definitions, along with a basic generic line drawing sketch of Customary Locations of Significant Markings. It exhibits light wear on the cover, however, the adhesive that had originally secured the sections of pages to the spine has dried, forcing separation of the pages from the cover itself. Although the pages are no longer affixed to the spine, they are all in order and intact, free of marks and soiling. Fine.
