Description
(Feldzugsmedaille für 1813-1814-1815). Instituted 14 January 1850 by Princess Emma as guardian of Prince Georg Victor. (1850 issue). Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from a mis-matched ribbon, the obverse bearing a central wreathed monogram of Prince Georg Victor, the reverse bearing a central sword flanked by dates “1813-1815”, situated within a circular oak leaf wreath, unmarked, measuring 29.81 mm in diameter, weighing 21.0 grams, demonstrating some scratching and loss of finish to the base metal, the latter exposing the bronze base to the centre of both the obverse and reverse, a rare award in better than very fine condition.
