(Orden Jugoslovenske Zastave sa Zlatnim Vencem). Instituted November 26th, 1947. A cased Order of the Yugoslav Flag, II. Class Grand Officer, consisting of:
1. The Neck Badge. Constructed of silver and gilded silver with multi-coloured enamels, consisting of a five-pointed star with three gilded peaks in the quadrants between the arms of the cross, the obverse with a large flag constructed of blue, white, and red enamels bearing a central five-pointed star and a wreath spreading up with a flag rod on the left side, the reverse featuring a red enameled flame within a gilded wreath, suspended from a gilded suspender consisting of dual wheat stalks, suspended from an elongated swivel ring using its period original and full-length neck ribbon, unmarked but historically manufactured by Ikom of Zagreb, measuring 60.3 mm (w) x 63.5 mm (l), weighing 70.50 grams.
2. The Breast Badge. Constructed of silver and gilded silver with multi-coloured enamels, consisting of a five-pointed star with three gilded peaks in the quadrants between the arms of the cross, the obverse with a large flag constructed of blue, white, and red enamels bearing a central five-pointed star and a wreath spreading up with a flag rod on the left side, the reverse with a vertical pinback assembly and two visible rivets that hold the obverse to the star, numbered “297”, unmarked but historically manufactured by Ikom of Zagreb, measuring 59.9 mm (w) x 62.7 mm (l), weighing 61.22 grams.
Accompanied by its presentation case, constructed of a lightweight wooden core, the exterior with a red faux leather (leatherette) exterior, the exterior of the lid is embossed “Orden Jugoslovenske Zastave sa Zlatnim Vencem” in gilt, the interior of the lid lined with padded off-white silk, the exterior with functional dual metal hinges, intact dual fabric hinge covers, and a present but broken exterior clasp closure. The case is accompanied by two ribbon bars with a bronze core and a gilded and red enameled five-pointed star affixed to each of the ribbons.
A fine example of a cased Order of the Yugoslav Flag, II. Class Grand Officer including the breast star, neck badge, and two separate ribbon bars, in near extremely fine condition.
